Following on from the other tour thread would anybody be interested in a tour for just Northanst county players? I was thinking of 2 or 3 event tour at Gold Street but just for Northants County registered players. Perhaps everyone that feels they couldnt enter a tour that is trying to expand would feel more at home with this event? |

Scott, I think it'd be a great idea. Northants players only having regular knockouts floats my boat. Maybe not just county players though as the likes of Andy Turner etc would want to play? Perhaps just Northants "based" players - i.e. NN postcode?! As for the other, I've got to admire your drive to make a big event which has started from scratch in Northampton, however, due to reasons state before, i can't commit to it. Good luck though! |

Is there anyone still interested in doing this? I was thinking of using the county bye dates , i.e 16th March and the 14th Nov with perhaps one more near the end of aug or early Sept. Unfortunately i'm working on the 16th March so if im doing this I'll have to change that one, perhaps to 2nd May? My thoughts were to use the county rankings and to seed the top 16 Northants players that were there and then randomly draw everyone else on the day. Whats the opinions on this? I havent checked if these dates are free at Rileys yet so they may all change. Just wanted to get some feedback first. Anyone from the northants area is welcome to play. |

i'm thinking £20 entry, maybe double elimination too. Register at 11 start playing at 12. Top 16 of northants county rankings get seeded. Payout down to quarters. Only open to northants players. |

Tony, if geography isn't your strong point, I will happily point out to you that Daventry is in Northants. The NN postcode is a little bit of a giveaway!  Scott, good idea and nice one. Micky was talking about organising a knockout on that very day but you have done it for him. And if we're honest, I'd rather trust you who can run a knockout properly, rather than an England player who forgets his cue when going on a pool weekend with his new England buddies! |
